Does rotavirus vaccination cause diarrhea?

A small number of children may develop diarrhea after rotavirus vaccination. Rotavirus vaccine prevents rotavirus infection and is mainly used to prevent fall diarrhea in children. Most children have no obvious reaction after rotavirus vaccination, while a few children may have adverse reactions to the vaccine such as diarrhea, fever, rash, malaise, nausea and vomiting. Most of the symptoms can be relieved with prompt symptomatic treatment. In addition, certain children may develop diarrhea after a short period of time after vaccination due to decreased resistance, coupled with irregular diet and exposure to cold. If there are obvious adverse reactions or persistent unrelieved symptoms after rotavirus vaccination, it is recommended to seek prompt medical attention.
