MDS is not a hereditary disease, so it will not be passed on to the next generation. MDS is a malignant clonal disease that has many causes, mostly in the elderly, and can present with anemia, bleeding, and infection. There are some patients called MDS-RAEB, which means that the primitive cells increase and will transform to leukemia, requiring hematopoietic stem cell transplantation treatment. In the past, due to unclear diagnosis, diseases with unclear diagnosis were classified as MDS, and the treatment was less effective. Nowadays, diagnostic techniques, prognostic stratification, and treatment have been well improved, so it is important to diagnose and treat MDS patients with precision.
