Methods of bile acid detection

Bile acids are usually tested by drawing blood from patients. After the blood is drawn from the patient, it is centrifuged in a centrifuge, and the serum is centrifuged to obtain the patient’s bile acids. The measurement of bile acids can reflect the state of the patient’s hepatic and intestinal circulation. When the patient’s bilirubin metabolism is normal and the hepatic and intestinal circulation is normal, the bile acid is generally within the normal range. When the patient has impaired bile excretion, high bile acids can occur. For normal people, pregnant women may have elevated bile acids during pregnancy. In this case, patients should be observed regularly to avoid the possibility of high bile acids causing neurological developmental disorders in the child, leading to mental defects. In addition, for patients with high bile acids, they should pay attention to eating less cholesterol-rich foods such as egg yolk, animal offal, animal fat and seafood squid.
