How long can you live with a grade 3-4 glioma?

How long you can live with a grade 3 to 4 glioma varies from person to person, and survival time is generally related to the tumor grade, the effectiveness of treatment, and the individual’s physical condition. Survival rates of 1 to 5 years and above are generally achievable. Gliomas are neuroepithelial tumors that originate from the neuroepithelium and are the most common malignant tumors in the skull, and gliomas are generally not completely curable. Gliomas can be categorized into low-grade gliomas and high-grade gliomas depending on the degree of malignancy. Grade 3~4 glioma belongs to high grade glioma, if early surgical resection and postoperative radiotherapy can effectively prolong the patient’s survival cycle, and achieve a survival rate of 1 to 5 years and above. However, if the patient is not able to have surgery in time, or if he/she is only treated with adjuvant radiotherapy or medication, his/her survival time may be shorter. Patients with grade 3 to 4 glioma should actively go to regular hospitals to receive treatment, and the survival rate of patients can be effectively prolonged through active treatment.
