It’s been six months since my gallbladder was removed and I still have symptoms.

Biliary resection for six months with abdominal pain, high fever and jaundice, epigastric discomfort and other symptoms consider intra- and extra-hepatic bile duct stones, it is recommended to carry out surgical treatment.
1. Extrahepatic bile duct stones: patients have clinical manifestations of abdominal pain, chills and high fever and jaundice. Ultrasound is the preferred method of examination. Surgical procedures include choledochotomy, T-tube drainage and bile-intestinal anastomosis.
2. Intrahepatic bile duct stones: patients will have distension and discomfort in the epigastrium and chest and back, and will have chills and high fever. Ultrasonography can make a clear diagnosis. Surgical modalities include choledochotomy for stone removal, bile-intestinal anastomosis and hepatectomy.
After cholecystectomy, the anatomy is changed so that the bile does not go back into the gallbladder to be concentrated and stored, and is emptied directly into the intestine. If stones develop in the extrahepatic bile ducts or intrahepatic bile ducts, clinical symptoms may still occur.
Six months after cholecystectomy, there are still symptoms that need to be treated under the guidance of a medical professional.
