What is Rheumatic Dry Syndrome

Rheumatic dry syndrome is generally referred to as desiccation syndrome, which is an inflammatory autoimmune disease involving predominantly glands, with dry mouth and dry eyes as the main clinical manifestations. Dry syndrome is a connective tissue disease, a chronic inflammatory systemic autoimmune disease, involving mainly exocrine glands, but also involving various organs of the body. In most cases, dry syndrome is characterized by dry mouth and eyes as the main early clinical symptom, with joint swelling and pain, skin rashes, and purpura during the course of the disease. Patients also often have low-grade fever, fatigue, exertion, anxiety and other systemic manifestations. Some patients involve organs and show clinical symptoms of organ damage, such as cough, sputum and shortness of breath in lungs, and weakness due to low potassium and foamy urine due to proteinuria in kidneys. If consider dry syndrome, need to go to the hospital rheumatology department for standardized diagnosis and treatment.
