The main reason for the name of shoulder meridian is that most of the acupuncture points on the scapula belong to the small intestine meridian, and the Yellow Emperor’s Internal Canon – Meridians has this sentence about the circulation of the small intestine meridian: “Out of the shoulder, around the scapula, and over the shoulder” (shoulder solution refers to the gap behind the shoulder joint). “The word “round” indicates that the small intestine meridian is like a bucket of snakes, so there are more acupuncture points, seven in total, namely, shoulder ching, biceps, Tianzong, Bingfeng, Qu Yuan, shoulder outer and shoulder middle. It can treat shoulder and back pain, such as frozen shoulder, supraspinatus tendonitis, neck and shoulder syndrome, and dorsal spine fasciitis. It is located at the back of the shoulder joint, just below the back of the shoulder joint, at the head of the posterior axillary stripe when the arm is inwardly retracted. The point is taken by hanging down the hand, and there is a vertical line behind the armpit, the lowermost part of which is 1 inch upward. The bicep is in the shoulder, when the head of the posterior axillary stripe is straight up, in the depression of the lower edge of the scapular gland. The point is taken by pushing upward along the posterior axillary vertical stripe and pushing down to meet a bone that runs diagonally from the back of the shoulder to the top of the shoulder (this is the scapular gland), and at the lower edge of this bone, directly above the posterior axillary vertical stripe, is the biceps point. Tianzong is located in the scapula, in the central depression of the subscapular fossa, level with the 4th thoracic vertebra. Underneath the scapular gland, about where the 4th thoracic vertebra is, you can feel a depressed fossa, the fossa is in the middle, and the pain and pain is obvious when you press it. Bingfeng is located in the scapula, in the center of the upper fossa of the scapula, with Tianzong straight up and a depression in the raised arm. On top of the scapula, directly above the Tianzong point, there is also a concave nest, the upper fossa of the scapula, and the upper fossa of the scapula is the Bingfeng point. Qu Yuan is in the scapula, at the medial end of the suprascapular fossa, at the midpoint of the line connecting the biceps and the spinous process of the 2nd thoracic vertebra. The Qu Yuan point is found at the medial end of the suprascapular fossa, near the spine, at the midpoint of the line connecting the biceps and the spinous process of the 2nd thoracic vertebra. Shoulder outer Yu is in the back, when it is under the spinous process of the 1st thoracic vertebra and 3 inches next to it. Middle shoulder Yu is in the back, when it is under the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebra, 2 inches away. Shoulder Zhen and Biao Yu: mainly for treating frozen shoulder; Tian Zong: mainly for treating neck and shoulder syndrome; Bing Feng and Qu Yuan: mainly for treating supraspinatus tendonitis; Shoulder Wai Yu and Shoulder Zhong Yu: mainly for treating dorsal spinal fasciitis.
