A patient with 100 degrees of myopia can be restored if it is due to pseudomyopia, but if it is due to true myopia, it usually cannot be restored. Myopia can be categorized into two different types: true myopia, which is caused by lengthening of the eye axis, and pseudomyopia, which is caused by ciliary muscle spasm. Pseudomyopia can be eliminated and vision restored by practicing good eye habits and resting the eyes to relax the spastic ciliary muscle. True myopia can not be restored once the eye axis is prolonged, but patients can wear glasses or undergo myopia correction surgery to correct myopia and improve their vision. It is recommended that myopia patients consult a doctor to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
