Acupuncture Points for Stomach Fire

Acupuncture points for treating stomach fire can be chosen from Nei Ting and Li Tui. Nei Ting is an acupoint of the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian, located at the end of the suture line between the 2nd and 3rd toes on the back of the foot. Acupuncture treatment for symptoms such as sore throat, toothache, nosebleed, constipation, abdominal pain, etc. caused by stomach fire (exuberant fire-heat and evil qi in the stomach) has a certain alleviating effect. Li Tui is an acupoint on the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian, located about 0.1 inch beside the root angle of the toenail on the lateral side of the 2nd toe. For symptoms such as toothache and sore throat caused by excessive stomach fire, acupuncture on Litui point has a certain therapeutic effect. If there are symptoms of stomach heat such as burning pain in the stomach and epigastrium, refusing to be pressed, elimination of grain and good hunger (eating too much and still easy to be hungry), foul-smelling breath, redness, swelling and pain in the gums, even pus and ulceration, or epistaxis, thirst for cold drinks, constipation of the bowels, and short and yellowish urine, it is recommended that treatment be carried out in regular hospitals, and the acupoints should be selected for treatment under the direction of the doctor.
