What are the signs of cryptorchidism in adults?

The main manifestation of cryptorchidism in adults is scrotal emptiness. Generally, cryptorchidism is more common unilaterally and can be manifested as unilateral scrotal emptiness, where no testicles can be felt by touching the scrotum unilaterally, but testicles are usually present when touching the high scrotum on the other side. In the case of bilateral cryptorchidism, the scrotum is usually empty on both sides and the testicles cannot be felt by hand. If the testicle is located in the groin of a patient with cryptorchidism, you can usually see an obvious mass in the groin, and you can find a mass similar to the texture of a testicle when you touch it with your hand, which usually belongs to a high testicle. If the testicle is located in the abdominal cavity there are usually no other symptoms. For testicles in deeper locations, the diagnosis can usually be clarified by means of CT or MRI.
