Seventeen year old cryptorchidism on the left side is a congenital condition.
Cryptorchidism refers to the inability to palpate the testicle after birth, with an empty scrotum and associated imaging in which the testicle is not in the scrotum. Cryptorchidism is usually located in the abdominal cavity and the inguinal canal. If the patient has a hormonal deficiency during embryonic development, the testicle may not be able to descend into the scrotum, resulting in cryptorchidism, which is a congenital condition.
Cryptorchidism detected after birth can be treated with medication and observation of the descent of the testicle. Cryptorchidism can also be surgically descended into the scrotum. Cryptorchidism is potentially cancerous and should be treated promptly.
Seventeen-year-old patients with cryptorchidism on the left side are recommended to go to regular hospitals immediately for relevant examinations, and actively cooperate with the doctor for symptomatic treatment, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
