What is Huachanin

The main component of Huachansu is dried toad skin extract, which is a clear liquid of yellowish or light yellow color. Adverse reactions often include chills and fever in about 30 minutes of administration, local irritation or phlebitis in a few patients after long-term intravenous administration, resulting in slowing down the drip rate, and urticaria dermatitis in very few patients. If the above-mentioned adverse reactions occur, the drug should be stopped immediately and symptomatic treatment should be done, and the drug can still be used normally after the reactions disappear. Its contraindications should be avoided in combination with the intense excitatory heart drugs.
