Dangers of dental calculus

Dental health is related to the health of the body, and dental calculus is also clinically known as tartar, which is usually easily caused by long-term food deposits on the neck of the body’s teeth and on the surfaces of the teeth where the oral mucosa does not move. However, calculus that is not removed in a timely manner can be very harmful to the teeth. Calculus is a major cause of periodontal tissue disease and can also have an impact on the aesthetics of the teeth. Usually clean teeth have a black, brown or yellow layer on them. Periodontal tissues and gums can be affected by calculus. Calculus tends to attract toxins, bacteria, etc., which can cause edema and congestion in the periodontal tissues, and can bleed when brushing in the morning and evening. If calculus is present for a long time, spontaneous bleeding and bad breath will develop in the periodontal tissues. In severe cases, the alveolar bone of the body may be damaged, and even weakness in chewing and loosening may occur. Calculus can easily lead to gum and periodontal tissue disease. Therefore, it is recommended to remove calculus through diet, morning and evening brushing, regular oral health checkups, scaling and bleaching.
