There is no special requirement or restriction on what food a baby should eat during weaning, generally light and easily digestible food is the main focus. Baby weaning period is recommended to eat some easily digestible food, such as soft noodles, rice porridge or steamed buns, soft rice and other staples, but also with fresh vegetables and fruits, such as eating some spinach, pureed greens, mashed potatoes, pureed carrots, apples, bananas, dragon fruits and so on. In addition, add high-protein foods such as lean meat, fish or egg yolks and animal livers as appropriate. There is no specific restriction on the diet during the weaning period, generally according to the baby’s preference to choose light, well-digested food, pay attention to small meals, should not be consumed too much at a time, do not eat greasy and indigestible food, and so on. After weaning, babies need to be supplied with nutritious food to meet the needs of physical growth, neuropsychological development and increased activity. Various nutrients and calories should be supplied in a comprehensive and balanced proportion. Daily 5-6 meals are suitable for the growth needs of young children and the level of digestive tract function, of which dairy energy supply should still not be less than 1/3 of the total energy. Encourage self-feeding, prevent forced feeding, and avoid excessive fluid intake or snacks that may interfere with eating.
