Treatment of neonatal subdural hematoma includes symptomatic supportive treatment such as hemostasis, lowering cranial pressure and surgical treatment.
1. Symptomatic treatment: including the application of vitamin K1, hemocoagulase and other hemostasis, furosemide, mannitol and other drugs to reduce cranial pressure, as well as to keep the child quiet and other supportive treatments, and when there is a convulsion, phenobarbital can be applied to control convulsions.
2. Surgery: when there is a certain occupying effect and anterior region swelling, vomiting and other symptoms of cranial hypertension, it should be operated as soon as possible, in order to relieve the mechanical compression of hematoma and reduce the secondary damage of hematoma. The surgical treatment is subdural hematoma removal.
When a subdural hematoma is suspected in a newborn, it should be treated under the supervision of a physician.
