Bowel cancer is a common malignant tumor in the gastrointestinal tract, and massive blood in stool is also a major symptom of advanced bowel cancer. Even after active treatment, the five-year survival rate of advanced bowel cancer is very low. Symptoms of advanced stage of bowel cancer mainly include large amount of blood in stool, alternating constipation and diarrhea, and rapid weight loss of body. According to the manifestation of bowel cancer, if the physical condition permits, radical resection is feasible, and life can be prolonged through adjuvant radiotherapy (e.g. 5-FU, vincristine, etc.), and targeted therapy (e.g. bevacizumab, pabolizumab, etc.), and it is possible that the survival period can reach two years. If the physical condition does not allow, only palliative surgery and some auxiliary treatments can be performed to improve the quality of life, and the survival period is also difficult to reach one year. Patients with advanced bowel cancer with massive blood in stool should keep optimistic mindset, rationalize their diet and cooperate with doctors for active treatment, with the main purpose of improving the quality of life.
