Small bumps on the sides of the nose are likely to be acne. Acne occurs mostly with the patient’s constitution, especially if it is formed by dampness and heat. Some are also the result of localized blockage of the sebaceous gland openings of the hair follicles, combined with localized infection by conditionally pathogenic bacteria, such as Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus albicans, and the formation of inflammatory papules. It may also be due to the patient’s frequent late nights, or lack of sleep, or overexertion, which may lead to a decrease in immune function. This may result in an inflammatory response to facial acne. If there are inflammatory granules, it is still necessary to treat them with medication in a timely manner.
