Very low density lipoprotein is synthesized by hepatocytes and is the main form of endogenous triglycerides, which are transported from the liver to the body. very low density lipoprotein, is composed of cholesterol, phospholipids, triglycerides, and protein, with triglycerides being the main component. Increased very low density lipoprotein often indicates the risk of atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease. Increased very low density lipoprotein can occur in patients with hyperlipidemia, hyperemic acidity, long-term alcoholism, pancreatitis, obesity, diabetes, and in hypothyroidism, nephrotic syndrome, and uremia.
