Flesh encapsulation of the teeth usually occurs in wisdom teeth, or because of gum tumors during pregnancy, as well as some medicated gum growths that cause this disease. It is important to determine if the disease is a pseudotumor. If the swelling of the gums is caused by inflammation that surrounds the teeth, local anti-inflammatory treatment of the gums can be performed first. If the gums have receded after the inflammation has subsided, then surgical removal is not necessary. If it is a gingival tumor that has not been eliminated by conventional periodontal scaling, then surgical removal is required. If this happens with a wisdom tooth, it can be treated according to the direction of eruption of the wisdom tooth, or if it erupts horizontally, the gum covering the far middle can be removed.
