Liver Depression Physique is characterized by abnormal emotions, distension and pain in the chest and ribs, and general discomfort. Liver depression is often seen in depressed mood, good tai shi, chest and abdomen distension and pain, running uncertainty, or pharyngeal foreign body sensation, or neck gall tumor (equivalent to thyroid tumor), or masses under the coils, and women can see breast distension and pain, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and so on. Liver is like to be organized and evil to be depressed, liver loss of drainage (abnormal function of liver drainage), stagnation of qi, unfavorable meridian qi, so the chest and hypochondrium or less abdominal distension and pain, depression, and good tai hui. Liver depression and Qi stagnation (poor Qi and blood transportation in the liver, depression), poor blood circulation, Qi and blood disharmony, and Chong Ren imbalance (dysfunction of the Chong Vein and Ren Vein, resulting in impassability of the body’s Qi and blood), thus breast distension or pain, dysmenorrhea, and menstrual irregularities.
