Blackheads are often referred to as blackhead pimples and pimples are often referred to as acne. The principles of their formation are different, and blackheads can be thought of as early lesion changes in acne. Under normal pore condition, the oil secreted by sebaceous glands can be metabolized and discharged from the pores normally. When the oil secretion is too much, the follicle sebaceous gland is blocked by keratinized material and sebum, forming yellow sebaceous keratin embolism, the opening is connected to the outside world, forming open pimples, which are oxidized to black in the air, also known as blackheads. Blackheads continue to irritate the hair follicles, causing hyperkeratosis of the follicular epithelium, resulting in the follicular sebaceous gland openings being completely blocked by keratinocytes, forming closed pimples, which create an anaerobic bacterial environment, while the sebaceous glands will continue to secrete sebum, and bacteria, such as Propionibacterium acnes, will multiply again, triggering an inflammatory response and the formation of pimples, also known as acne. When skin lesions such as black beans and pimples change, it is recommended that they be treated appropriately under the guidance of a physician.
