Can you give Dillon to a child with fever?

Dilong has the effects of clearing heat and restraining wind, diuretic and asthma, and clearing collaterals. It can be taken under doctor’s supervision for children with high fever whose liver wind has turned into heat. Clinically, Dilong can clear heat and dispel wind, treating the symptoms of delirium, nonsense, convulsions, high fever, epilepsy, etc., after the heat has reached the extreme point of generating wind. Dilong can also treat hemiplegia (inability to move one side of the limb freely) and crookedness of the mouth and eyes caused by qi deficiency and blood stasis; it can also relieve joint redness, swelling, pain, unfavorable movement and numbness of the limbs. Dilong can calm asthma and treat croup in the throat caused by heat in the lungs. It can also be diuretic, relieving dysuria (unruly urination) where heat is in the bladder. The adverse effects and contraindications of Dilong are not exact; it should not be taken for deficiency of the spleen and stomach (spleen and stomach weakness and cold), and is contraindicated for pregnant women. Medical supervision is required for taking Dilong to avoid delays.
