Difference between bacterial and viral fevers

The difference between bacterial fever and viral fever is reflected in blood counts, symptomatology, and infectiousness. 1. Blood count: In bacterial fever, the total number of white blood cells and the percentage of neutrophils will increase. In viral fevers, there are no significant changes in blood counts. 2. Symptoms: bacterial fever, tonsils or throat redness, swelling and pain is obvious, runny nose, pus sputum. Viral fever, nasal symptoms are more obvious, clear nasal discharge, no pus sputum, may be accompanied by diarrhea or conjunctival congestion. 3. Contagious: bacterial fever infection cases are scattered, not contagious. Viral fever can be transmitted to the surrounding people in a short period of time, and several people in the family are sick.
