Umbilical hernia can be recovered through general treatment, non-surgical treatment and surgical treatment, but the specific recovery time varies from person to person.
1.general treatment: 1 year after birth, the baby’s abdominal muscles gradually developed, most of the baby’s umbilical hernia can be naturally closed, the prognosis is good. During the course of the disease, care should be strengthened to avoid frequent crying and constipation and other events that increase abdominal pressure.
2. Non-surgical treatment: After gently retracting the hernia, a coin or small piece of wood wrapped in gauze, larger than the hernia ring, is placed against the hernia ring and secured with adhesive tape or a bandage.
3. Surgical treatment: mainly for hernia incarceration, puncture and other emergencies or hernia ring diameter of more than 1.5cm after 2 years old. In principle, children over 5 years old should be treated with surgery. The main surgical methods are umbilical hernia repair.
