Can I take Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Pills and Cephalexin together?

Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Pills can be combined with antibiotics of the cephalosporin class. The reason why preparations of Huo Xiang Zheng Qi class cannot be combined with antibiotics is that Huo Xiang Zheng Qi liquid contains ethanol, which can combine with the thiomethyl tetrazolium active group of cephalosporin and nitroimidazole antibiotics and produce a reaction that manifests as nausea, vomiting, palpitations, and even a disulfiram-like reaction that leads to death. However, there is no ethanol in Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Pills, so when combined with cephalosporin antibiotics, no disulfiram-like reaction will occur, so it can be safely applied. In addition to the above antibiotics, there are also sulfonylurea hypoglycemic drugs, such as insulin, warfarin, ketoconazole, etc., which also have a similar chemical structure to cephalosporin, so they also cannot be applied in combination with foods or drugs containing ethanol.
