What does polio mean?

The gray matter of the spinal cord has another name and is called the medulla of the spinal cord. The gray matter of the spinal cord is mainly where the neuronal cells of the spinal cord gather. For example, the anterior gray matter of the spinal cord is where the motor neurons of the spinal cord gather, which are lower motor neurons in the entire pyramidal tract. The posterior gray matter of the spinal cord is where the sensory neurons of the spinal cord gather. In neurosurgery, there is an acute infectious disease called poliomyelitis, or poliomyelitis. This disease is mainly caused by the poliovirus, which invades the motor cells of the anterior horn of the spinal cord, resulting in paralysis of the limbs of the child.
