Succus has a flat nature and sweet taste, and belongs to the Liver, Heart and Urinary Bladder meridians. Amber is flat in nature, sweet in taste, and belongs to the liver, heart and bladder meridians. It has the efficacy of calming and tranquilizing the mind, and can be used for treating forgetfulness and trance, insomnia and other conditions caused by insufficient heart qi and phlegm-qi interactions and obstructions; it can also be used for treating palpitations (accelerated heartbeat often accompanied by panic), restlessness in nighttime caused by the failure of the blood to nourish the heart, as well as children’s phlegm-heat convulsions (paediatric illnesses mainly manifested as fainting, twitching, and convulsions), irritable-heat (irritable and stifling heat) and restlessness.
