Can stomach pain and hiccups be stomach cancer?

  Stomach pain and hiccups all the time do not necessarily mean stomach cancer. The manifestations of stomach cancer include stomach pain and hiccups, but other gastrointestinal diseases can also appear stomach pain and hiccups, such as chronic gastritis and gastric ulcer.  Stomach pain and hiccups are most commonly caused by gastritis, indigestion and other stomach diseases, mostly related to poor eating habits, such as overeating, unclean diet, or long-term irregular eating and skipping breakfast. Patients are advised to perform C13 or 14 breath test to exclude stomach pain and hiccups caused by Helicobacter pylori infection, and follow medical prescriptions for medication. If the symptoms cannot be relieved and persistently worsen, and the patient shows weight loss and anemia, further examination is recommended to exclude gastric cancer.  For patients with stomach pain and hiccups, they should avoid spicy and stimulating, cold, greasy and other indigestible foods, eat lightly, eat less and more often, and avoid overeating.
