Can migraines be treated surgically?

As the most common type of clinical headache, the incidence of migraine is extremely high, with 1-2 out of 10 people suffering from migraine on average. Genetic factors, dietary factors, mental factors, environmental factors, and one’s own metabolism are all very likely to cause migraine attacks again, so migraine patients should try to avoid these factors in their lives to minimize migraine attacks. Migraine patients have clinical symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, fear of light, fear of noise, etc. For treatment, medication and physical therapy adopted by internal medicine can only relieve the symptoms, but not achieve better results. For intractable migraine, medical treatment is basically ineffective. In the face of this situation, many experts in the medical field have gradually shifted the direction of migraine research and treatment to surgical intervention. Can migraine be treated surgically? At present, migraine can be well treated by microvascular decompression, which is based on the research of vascular nerve theory, and further found that migraine is caused by the compression of nerves by blood vessels or other tissues on the scalp, and under the stimulation of certain environment or other factors, the pain point expands and migraine attacks. In response to this principle, microvascular decompression was thus born. The whole procedure is very safe, operated under a microscope, with little trauma and high efficiency, and patients can be discharged from the hospital in about 3 days after surgery and recover quickly afterwards. After a lot of clinical practice, it has achieved remarkable results, and many migraine patients have gotten rid of migraine and regained their new life through this procedure.
