Can a protruding mole become cancerous

A protruding mole may become cancerous. When a mole grows rapidly or a pigmented mole becomes more pigmented and darker, and the lesion damage expands and hardens, accompanied by pain and itchiness, then you need to suspect that the mole is cancerous and go to the hospital as soon as possible to have it examined. A cancerous nevus may be elevated, plaque-like, nodule-like, or cauliflower-like. If it spreads in all directions, there is a possibility of star-shaped dark spots or small nodules in the surrounding area. Melanoma is prone to regional lymph node metastasis, and some people even come to the doctor because of enlarged regional lymph nodes. If the melanoma is in an advanced stage, metastases to organs such as the liver, lungs, bones, and brain may also occur.
