Symptoms of viral facial neuritis

Viral facial neuritis, also known as facial palsy, is manifested as follows: 1. Facial palsy is usually manifested by the disappearance and shallowing of the frontal lines, enlargement of the eyelids, and shallowing of the nasolabial folds. Patients usually find themselves brushing their teeth early in the morning when their face becomes stiff, their eyelids and corners of the mouth do not obey the command and are not sharp, and they leak soup or chew food without chewing. 2. During the doctor’s examination, the patient mainly shows enlarged eye fissures, incomplete eyelid closure, shallow nasolabial folds, and a more mute and dull expression on the affected side compared to the opposite side, with a deviation of the corners of the mouth, which is called peripheral facial palsy. In some patients, the extent of viral damage to the facial nerve varies and may manifest as partial or total facial nerve palsy. Viral facial neuritis usually strikes the body during a period when the patient’s immune system is down, but when the patient finds the symptoms first, there is no need to panic, and most patients can be cured by going to a regular hospital and getting regular treatment.
