Sha Shen Mai Dong Tang treats deficiency of lung yin (insufficient yin fluid in the lungs) and stomach yin (insufficient yin fluid in the stomach) resulting in injury of fluid, thirst and dry cough.
Since most of the medicines in Sha Shen Mai Dong Tang are cold in nature, it should be used with caution for patients with deficiency of coldness in the spleen and stomach (weak and cold spleen and stomach). Patients are advised to take the medication under the guidance of a doctor and should not take it at will.
