How to make sure your baby is breastfed correctly

Correct breastfeeding of infants can be corrected by adjusting the breastfeeding posture and ensuring that the baby holds the areola. 1. Breastfeeding position: The mother needs to have a proper breastfeeding position, holding the baby’s head with one hand and the baby’s buttocks with the other hand, aligning the baby’s face with the breast, and ensuring that the baby’s head and the breast are at the same height. 2. Ensure that the baby holds the areola: when breastfeeding, put your thumb against the areola, make it hold the nipple, put the nipple and most of the areola in the baby’s mouth, and make sure that the baby holds it before starting to suckle. Incorrect breastfeeding posture may lead to less milk drinking and choking, which may affect the growth and development of the baby. Consult a pediatrician if necessary.
