What does cataract mean?

Cataract refers to the acupoint of Hand Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian, which is located in the neck, behind the earlobe and in the depression in front of the lower end of the mastoid process. Cataract is a twelve positive meridian acupoint, which is mainly used for treating ear diseases such as deafness and tinnitus; face and mouth diseases such as teeth clenching, facial pain, cheek swelling, and crooked eyes and mouth; scrofula (mainly refers to tuberculosis of lymph nodes in the neck), and so on. The cataract point is in the neck, and under this point there is the posterior auricular artery, the posterior auricular vein, the superficial external jugular vein, the great auricular nerve, and the facial nerve trunk in the deep layer. It can be combined with Cheek Che, Waiguan, Guanchong and Hegu for the treatment of mumps; with Zhongzhu, Manxi, Auditory Club and Auditory Palace for the treatment of solid evidence of tinnitus and deafness; and with Auricular Gate, Auditory Palace, Taixi, Zhaohai and Ren Yu for the treatment of deficient evidence of tinnitus and deafness.
