The bones of the foot are called the foot bones and are divided into the tarsal, metatarsal and phalanges. 1. Tarsal bones: There are seven tarsal bones, which can be divided into three columns: anterior, middle and posterior. The bone above the posterior column is called the talus, which forms the ankle joint with the ankle point at the lower end of the tibiofibula. The lower part of the posterior column is called the heel bone, which is an important pivot point of the foot. There is only one bone in the middle column called the navicular bone. There are four bones in the anterior column, from inside to outside, they are the medial cuneiform bone, middle cuneiform bone, lateral cuneiform bone and dice bone. 2. Metatarsal bones: metatarsal bones are 5 in total, similar to the metacarpal bones of the hand, but the volume is more coarse, constituting the metacarpal of the foot. From inside to outside, they are the 1st to 5th metatarsal bones. 3. phalanges: there are 14 phalanges, including 2 phalanges of the lesser phalanges and 3 phalanges of the remaining phalanges, which are similar in shape to the phalanges of the hand and constitute the toes of the foot.
