Manifestations of heart failure in middle-aged and elderly people

Heart failure in middle-aged and old people can be manifested as left heart failure symptoms such as dyspnea, cough and sputum, right heart failure symptoms such as gastrointestinal symptoms, and acute heart failure symptoms such as cyanosis and blurred consciousness.
1. Chronic heart failure: (1) left heart failure symptoms: patients may show dyspnea during physical labor, sleep at night, lying down. Acute pulmonary edema may occur in more serious patients. Patients may also cough and cough up sputum, mostly at night. Symptoms such as coughing up blood, fatigue and decreased mobility may also occur.
(2) Symptoms of right heart failure: Gastrointestinal symptoms, such as abdominal distension, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting. Symptoms such as edema and jugular vein raging may also occur.
(3) Symptoms of total heart failure: symptoms of left heart failure and right heart failure may occur.
2. Symptoms of acute heart failure: sudden onset of dyspnea. Cyanosis, grayish color, sweating, irritability, coughing, coughing pink foamy sputum, blurred consciousness or coma may also occur.
