Six-month-old babies can be tested for allergens.
Allergen testing is mainly used to detect whether the subject is allergic to certain substances, such as pollen, food, drugs and chemicals. Currently, the commonly used allergen testing methods include patch test, prick test, scratch test and intradermal test. There is no strict age limit for allergen testing. If a six-month-old baby has an allergic reaction, he or she can go to the hospital for allergen testing.
As babies at this age may be stimulated by allergens and their immune function is not yet mature, they may develop rhinitis and itchy skin. If the presence of allergenic substances is detected, they can be avoided in time to reduce the probability of allergic reactions.
It should be noted that 1 week before the allergen test should stop using antihistamines, glucocorticoid drugs, cold medicines, etc., otherwise it will affect the results of the allergen test.
