Rectal cancer T3N1, the specific stage belongs to, should be combined with the presence or absence of distant metastasis, which may be stage IV or stage III. 1. TNM staging is a form of international oncology staging for tumors. t refers to the situation of tumor primary foci, which is expressed by Tis, T0~T4, the larger the number is, the more serious the condition is in relative terms; N refers to the situation of regional lymph node involvement, which is expressed by N0~N3, the larger the number is, the more the lymph nodes are involved, the larger the scope is, and the more serious the condition is; M refers to distant metastasis (usually bloodway metastasis), the one without distant metastasis is expressed by M0, and the one with distant metastasis is expressed by M1; the one with distant metastasis is expressed by M1. M refers to distant metastasis (usually bloodstream metastasis), those without distant metastasis are indicated by M0, those with distant metastasis are indicated by M1, and the condition is relatively serious. 2. For rectal cancer, T3 means that the cancer has penetrated the intestinal wall and invaded the neighboring tissues; N1 means that there are 1-3 regional lymph node metastases. If there is no distant metastasis, i.e. T3N1M0, it belongs to stage III; if there is distant metastasis, such as liver, lung or bone metastasis, i.e. T3N1M1, it should belong to stage IV. 3. Regardless of the stage, we should build up confidence, maintain optimism, and go to regular medical institutions for active treatment under the guidance of doctors.
