The generally common method of early pregnancy medication abortion is oral mifepristone combined with misoprostol medication abortion. Mifepristone is taken for 2 days and misoprostol is taken on day 3. Generally after taking mifepristone, there are no reactions including vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain. These only occur in a very small number of patients who are very sensitive to the drug. In addition, some people may experience fever, rash, itchy skin, or even liver and kidney damage after taking mifepristone. However, the vast majority of people do not experience any reactions after taking mifepristone. It is usually only after taking misoprostol that vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain occur. Most patients have abdominal pain within 6 hours of taking misoprostol, followed by vaginal bleeding and embryo expulsion.
