When an overdue pregnancy requires immediate termination of pregnancy

The following are indications for immediate termination of pregnancy: 1. acute intrauterine distress. 2. positive oxytocin (OCT) test. 3. fecal staining of amniotic fluid, immature cervical condition, failure of vaginal delivery within a short period of time. 4. failed induction of labor. 5. prolonged labor, stalled labor. 6. abnormal fetal position, such as complete or incomplete breech-first, shoulder-first, face-first, anterior uneven tilt, posterior uneven tilt, and high rectus posterior position. 7. pelvic stenosis. 8. The fetal head is in high straight posterior position. 7. pelvic stenosis. 8. pregnancy complications, such as severe pre-eclampsia, placental abruption, pre-eclampsia, etc. In all these cases, the pregnancy should be terminated by cesarean section immediately.
