Psoriasis may grow on the neck. Psoriasis is a skin disease caused by a combination of environmental, genetic, and immunologic factors. The main manifestation of psoriasis is scaly red patches or plaques, which may be confined to one place or widely distributed throughout the body. Psoriasis is characterized by red patches of skin, often covered with silvery-white scales, accompanied by severe itching, burning and pain, and requires prompt medical attention. Psoriasis is generally stubborn and difficult to cure completely, but it can be controlled with ongoing treatment. Topical moisturizers can be used to strengthen the protection of the skin barrier, and glucocorticoid medications such as hydrocortisone and dexamethasone cream can also be applied, as well as topical tazarotene gel and capotriol ointment. Systemic medications include immunosuppressants and targeted immunomodulators. Psoriasis patients need to standardize treatment under the guidance of doctors and avoid self-medication.
