Which mental states are prone to tumors?

According to the statistical survey on psychosomatic medicine, cancer patients often have certain specific personality characteristics, which is what we often hear in our daily life as “cancer personality”. Cancerous personality means that people with this personality are more prone to cancer than other personalities. What kind of personality is prone to cancer? People who are eccentric, dull and depressed, narrow-minded, sentimental, suspicious, pessimistic, cynical, irritable, and sulking are prone to cancer. On the contrary, those who are cheerful, open-minded, frank and open-minded, restful, optimistic, humorous and outgoing will rarely get cancer. In exploring the influence of tension and emotion on the occurrence of cancer, Lawrence in the United States found that 76% of more than 500 cancer patients had the same unique type of emotional life history, while in non-cancer patients, this type accounted for only 10%. This emotional life history influences or determines the patient’s subsequent mental state and contributes to the development of cancer. This type of life history has the following characteristics: (1) As a child, this type of person does not receive true maternal or paternal love due to early death of parents, divorce or frequent parental quarrels, or long separation from father or mother or both parents, etc., and does not experience the warmth of family, thus creating a feeling of loneliness and isolation deep inside and a disappointing attitude toward obtaining a long-lasting satisfying family. In order to make up for these feelings of lack, the child tries to please others and get spiritual comfort while being liked by others. (2) In adulthood, such a person finds a source of strength and meaning in life in career, interpersonal relationships and the establishment of a selfish family, and thus focuses mainly on this source of strength. (3) If this key strength disappears (e.g., divorce, widowhood, career failure, shattered ideals, death of a loved one, etc.), the traumas of childhood are reawakened and feelings of pessimism, disappointment and helplessness reappear. (4) Some of them who are introverted and always bury their feelings (especially negative feelings such as anger, pain and disappointment, etc.) inside, if they cannot extricate themselves from such negative emotions for a long time, it means that cancer will occur.
