What Causes Oily Skin

Greasy skin may be due to physiological factors, such as diet, physiological endocrine disorders, and so on, and may also be due to pathological factors, such as acne, seborrheic dermatitis, and so on.
1. Physiological factors: If the diet is too oily and sweet for a long time, it may indirectly trigger excessive sebum secretion from the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles, resulting in greasy skin; if the patient is in puberty, staying up late for a long time, or having emotional problems that lead to endocrine disorders, it may stimulate the sebaceous glands to secrete a large amount of sebum, which will result in greasy skin.
2. Pathologic factors: common diseases such as acne and seborrheic dermatitis.
(1) Acne: a chronic inflammatory disease of the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles, clinical symptoms are often manifested as pimples, pimples, pustules, and patients usually have excessive secretion of sebaceous glands, which manifests the symptoms of greasy skin.
(2) Seborrheic dermatitis: the cause of this disease is unknown, and may be related to genetic, Malassezia infection, diet and other factors. It usually develops in areas where sebaceous glands secrete abundantly, such as the face, scalp, chest and back, etc., and often shows symptoms such as erythema, greasy flaking and itching.
Patients are advised to eat a light diet, develop healthy habits, work and rest regularly, and not stay up late. Greasy skin may also be caused by other reasons, if we can exclude physiological factors, we recommend that patients consult a doctor for examination to clarify the cause of the disease and take corresponding treatment measures.
