Is it okay to take one tablet of amiodarone a day?

Amiodarone, commonly known as amiodarone hydrochloride tablets, can be taken one tablet a day when used clinically for the maintenance treatment of ventricular arrhythmias. When taken orally, amiodarone hydrochloride tablets are mainly used to prevent life-threatening paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation, but also to treat persistent atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter after electrical reversal of maintenance therapy. Clinical adverse reactions include constipation, nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, tremor, ataxia and proximal muscle weakness. Amiodarone hydrochloride tablets are usually available in 200 mg. In the treatment of supraventricular arrhythmia, the daily dosage for adults is usually 2~3 tablets, and in severe cases, the daily dosage can be 3~6 tablets. After 1 to 2 weeks of both medications, the daily dosage can be changed to 1 tablet as needed. Before taking Amiodarone Hydrochloride Tablets, it should be noted that it is not suitable for the treatment of atrial and ventricular premature beats unless there are clear indications. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe sinus node dysfunction, II or III degree atrioventricular block, bradycardia causing syncope, interstitial fibrosis caused by various reasons, and those who are allergic to the product. Consult your healthcare professional for specific dosage.
