How are comminuted fractures treated?

Comminuted fracture treatment includes: 1. Conservative treatment: use plaster cast to immobilize the fracture, release the cast in about 45 days, and then carry out functional exercises; 2. Surgical treatment: use plaster and external fixation in the early stage to protect the skin and soft tissues and avoid skin necrosis, and then choose the surgical treatment plan, including external fixation frame fixation, incision and reduction plate fixation or intramedullary nail fixation. The advantage of surgical treatment is that through incision and repositioning, the crushed bone mass can be anatomically repositioned according to the requirements, avoiding sequelae and favoring cure.
