It is recommended that if you are a married woman with a history of sexual intercourse, it is best to have a vaginal ultrasound, which will be relatively higher resolution and clearer. If a woman has no sexual history, she should have a gynecologic ultrasound and an abdominal ultrasound, and she should hold her urine before the examination. In case of vaginal bleeding, or acute inflammation of the vagina, it is better not to do vaginal color ultrasound as it may cause vaginal pain or cause increased vaginal bleeding.
