A normal cervical smear or liquid-based cytology will show the NILM logo in English in the report. If there is an abnormality, for example, it will be written with atypical squamous cells or with low grade lesions, or even suggesting a tendency to high grade lesions, high grade lesions, with abnormal glandular epithelium, if these words appear, it suggests that there may be a problem with the liquid-based cytology or cervical smear. There are more than 80 tests for HPV viruses in China. Currently, HPV viruses are divided into high-risk types and low-risk types, and high-risk types are currently 14 subtypes, as well as low-risk type tests. If HPV types 16, 18 and 45 are positive, colposcopy is recommended. If the other 11 high-risk types are positive, the next step is to decide whether colposcopy should be done in conjunction with the results of the liquid-based cytology test.
