How to test for HPV in men

The methods of HPV examination for men include HPV-DNA test, acetic acid test, pathologic biopsy and so on. 1. HPV-DNA test: HPV-DNA can be extracted for pathologic examination, and through the detection of DNA, it can be clear whether men are infected with HPV virus. 2. Acetic acid test: Acetic acid can be used to smear on the glans area of men, and then observe whether there is any whitening of the glans or other genital areas, if the color of the area turns white, the patient may be infected with HPV virus. 3. Pathological biopsy: If a man’s genital or anal area has a coronal or papillary pimple, the pimple can be excised and sent for pathological examination, according to the results of the pathological examination, to determine whether it is infected with HPV, and to clarify the type of HPV infection. If a man has had high-risk sex, or if he has symptoms, he should consult a doctor for a systematic examination to confirm the diagnosis.
