Rehabilitation after acromioplasty includes local muscle strength training, joint mobility exercises, and joint relaxation exercises. According to the different stages of recovery, the target has its own focus.
1. Early postoperative period: local muscle contraction training is feasible. For example, static contraction of the upper arm muscles, as well as flexion and extension of the elbow joint, shrugging, shoulder external rotation, forward flexion, abduction and other exercises. Exercise joint mobility, with pendulum-like movement and circle movement for shoulder muscle relaxation training.
2. Mid-operative period: you can continue to practice the local muscle strength and mobility of the shoulder joint, and you can also increase the wall-climbing exercises. The specific method is to stand facing the wall, put the palm of your hand on the wall, bend your elbow, and use your fingers to slowly climb upward until you feel a slight pain. Repeat 10 times.
3. Late stage of surgery: you can continue the joint mobility exercises in the middle stage, focusing on the direction of unsatisfactory mobility. On the basis of exercising the strength of shoulder muscles, gradually begin to work and exercise.
It is recommended that patients exercise under the guidance of the doctor to avoid the body damage caused by blind self-exercise.
