Can Antan treat dystonia?

Antan can be used to treat dystonia, a clinical syndrome of involuntary, sustained muscle contractions that cause postural abnormalities and distorted repetitive movements. There are very many classifications, depending on the site it can be classified as focal, segmental, multifocal, paraplegic or generalized. Common disorders include blepharospasm, spastic strabismus, Meijer syndrome, and torsion spasms. The pathogenesis of the disease is not fully understood, but it is thought to be related to abnormal concentrations of neurotransmitters in the brain, such as norepinephrine, dopamine, or 5-hydroxytryptamine. Treatment is symptomatic with medications such as Antan, chemically known as Benzhexol, which is effective in controlling the symptoms, as well as diazepam, clonazepam, haloperidol, levodopa, baclofen, and other medications.
